OLSH Musical
Vibrant and Inclusive
There is a place for everyone in the highly-regarded OLSH Musical Theatre production.
Taking centre stage every two year, it is a celebration of who we are as a community and our students’ passion for the Arts.
Girls from every year level have the opportunity to demonstrate their talents. The result is a vibrant musical theatre production where students participate as cast or crew in a series of live shows at the Parks Community Theatre in the first week of July.
OLSH Musical
A Chance To Grow
Students are able to undertake leadership roles and fill positions on and off the stage, including choreography and backstage management.
They make many of the key decisions that a director would traditionally make. We believe that giving actors, designers and crew a say in creative choices, it improves both the quality and originality of our work.
When working together, the titles of ‘teacher’ and ‘student’ dissolve as we become artistic collaborators who work together to create a shared vision.
To celebrate our shared journey we have, since the 2009 production of The Wizard of Oz, gathered together after the production week for the inaugural Ruby Shoes Awards Night. Many awards, such as Most Improved, Best Characterisation, and Most Outstanding Set Change (in the style of the less prestigious Oscars) are presented on this night of nights!
