From the Principal

Dear Parents/Guardians, Friends, Staff and Students of OLSH College,

This is our last newsletter for 2025. It is hard to believe how quickly the year has passed.

Throughout the year, we have embraced and honoured the OLSH College community in numerous ways, consistently reflecting on our 2025 theme of being heart people who are faith-filled. As members of our Heart community, we have continually sought to create meaningful opportunities that allow us to pursue purpose, connection, and a deeper sense of belonging in our lives. This shared sense of belonging not only strengthens our ability to support one another but also helps each of us uncover fulfilment and direction along our personal journeys. With this in mind, we have valued:

• The unique stories and journeys that help shape our individual identities;

• Practiced reflection, while participating in traditions that connect us to our broader community;

• Engaging wholeheartedly in meaningful gatherings and shared experiences that foster understanding, empathy, and personal growth;

• Embracing a spirit of thoughtfulness and self-awareness, encouraging us to be present and open to learning from one another;

Finally, as the school year draws to a close, I want to express my heartfelt thanks to our students, staff, and families for your dedication, support, and contributions to our vibrant, inclusive and hope filled College. Together, we have achieved so much, and I am deeply grateful to be part of this community.

Staff Thank You

I extend my deepest appreciation to every member of our teaching and support staff at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart College. Each of you brings unique strengths, talents, and warmth to our community, and your dedication has truly shaped our successes and growth this year. Whether in the classroom, behind the scenes, or supporting our students in countless ways, your contributions are noticed, valued, and cherished. Your willingness to go above and beyond, your care for our girls, and your unwavering commitment make a profound difference each and every day. We are incredibly fortunate to have such a devoted and hard-working team, and I am sincerely grateful for all that you do. Thank you for making OLSH College not just a school, but a place where everyone feels welcomed, supported, and inspired.

In these final weeks of the school term it is not uncommon to receive messages from families. I share with you two excerpts from messages received from current OLSH College caregivers.
