STEM at OLSH College

Curiosity in action

At OLSH College, STEM is a space where questions lead to discovery. Girls engage with ideas in practical, meaningful ways—exploring how science, technology, engineering and mathematics connect to everyday life and future possibilities.

Learning in the classroom
Students engage in a blend of explicit teaching and inquiry-based learning, exploring science, mathematics and digital technologies through practical investigations and collaborative tasks. This approach encourages curiosity, deep thinking and the application of knowledge across disciplines, building a strong foundation from the early years.

Digital innovation and applied learning
Students work with contemporary technologies to design and create solutions to real-world problems. Coding, data analysis and digital design are integrated into learning, encouraging creativity alongside technical skill. Projects allow students to experiment, refine ideas and see how their thinking can be applied in authentic contexts.

Beyond the classroom
Opportunities such as the STEM Club provide space for students to explore shared interests and develop ideas collaboratively. Students are also encouraged to participate in events such as the Oliphant Science Awards, engaging with wider communities and sharing their work beyond the College.
